Intermediate Course
Retrain the Brain
Leveraging the Power of the Mind to Achieve Healthier Movement
This course is approved for 0.8 CEUs (8 contact hours) for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.
About This Program
99% of patients walk into an orthopedic physical therapy practice with the primary complaint of “pain.” The truth is that most patients will improve over time, albeit temporarily. The ones who don’t improve, (e.g. the “difficult” ones) are the ones who make it a late day at the clinic. Mind To Movement recognizes this dilemma and is excited to offer this 10-day Retrain the Brain Orthopedic Physical Therapy Integrative Program (RTB) aimed at mindfully mastering the painful world of orthopedic physical therapy.
This program contains 70% hands-on laboratory instruction with a “no fluff” mindset, so everything that is taught can be immediately implemented in the clinic. Clinical pearls, clinical reasoning, and clinically relevant content are pulled from the evidence-based areas of manipulative therapy, movement science, pain science, and cognitive psychology. Participants are introduced to the evidence-based Edutreament model that utilizes the 6 natural resources and skills of the mind to create a more effective way of navigating through pain and suffering and achieve a more effective way of life.
More Perks
Because RTB focuses primarily on orthopedic knowledge and skills, it is approved for 8.5 CEU’s (85 contact hours) and fulfills the ethics, laws, and regulations requirements of the Physical Therapy Board of California while serving as the core curriculum for various APTA credentialed physical therapy residency programs. Upon successful completion of this curriculum, participants are automatically qualified to take the 5-Day Pain Intelligence Mindful Master Class to gain skills training for handling the most difficult and complex cases.
